A Drop in the Bucket
This is just the beginning of the consequences for this tragedy. It is sad what has been done in the interest of profit and greed under the cover of development, improvement, and job creation for the economy. The rape and pillage of the Earth continues on a global level and this is but a microcosm in the big picture. The effects of our actions are cumulative and the consequences will have to be faced by our children and our children's children. Our progress today is a Hell of a legacy for them tomorrow! To my grandsons and granddaughters I would just say this; I apologize for what you inherit. I hope you get to see some part of this Earth that is still unsullied by our greed and quenchless thirst for money and power. Please heed the monumental mistakes of my generation and try to live with the Earth and leave a better legacy for your grandsons and granddaughters! Progress without foresight is arrogant regression, please forgive ours!
ciao
Never mind containing the spill its time to protect the profits.
ReplyDelete~BP has increased its lobbying presence in Washington D.C. and when you take a look at who it has on the bankroll, it’s hard to not wonder if BP’s access has anything to do with the Obama administration’s continued insistence on allowing BP to continue to call the shots. BP has also hired some very high-powered attorneys/law firms in preparation for the legal battles which will most certainly taking place in the coming months/years.
