Soooo, I hear all these politicians screaming Socialized this and Socialized that, yet those same politicians are applauding the latest supreme court ruling to let corporations spend as much as they want on their purchased politician. And, make no mistake about it, campaign financing is all about buying your politician. So if you want your guy to get elected, you get a bunch of your friends together and spend what little you can afford to put up posters and hand out fliers. Now lets add a major corporation like Toyota or Microsoft who want the their guy to win because he has made promises to look favorably on their requests if they donate 1 Million or 1 Billion to his campaign. "One Billion" dollars is beginning to be a realistic amount, Scary! Ok, lets say their guy got 100 million dollars from the major corporation. You, on the other hand, were able to raise 100,000 dollars for your guy. Who wins? That is the scenario that will play out in every state and national election from here forward. Scared yet? I am! The two biggest areas of politics that need reform and regulation are, campaign financing and lobbying. There should be a cap on campaign financing so that each candidate has to abide by the same rules and money spent to get their campaign message to the people. Lobbying is nothing but bribery as it stands now. Once the corporations get their guy in office by spending insane amounts of money, they can legally pay him to remain loyal to them by lobbying for whatever it is they want. His conscience is good because it's all legal, and you and your friends have to abide by it even though you know it is morally and ethically corrupt.
Welcome to the new USA, a Corporate State, the best government money can buy!

Political Agenda
http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/americas/01/29/haiti.puerto.rico.doctors/index.html?hpt=T2
Somebody always has to go looking for crap like this. I am sure it was somebody with a political agenda. All people deal with stress in different ways and to take something like this and crucify them after all they are doing to save lives is ludicrous.

Missed a Day
Top of the morning to everyone!
Hmmm, I totally missed yesterday. Started working on a problem with my AV and before I knew it I was running malware checks! Only two pieces of low level crap found which is good! My poor old PC is starting to show its age. It is only 6 years old but even though it was a top of the line, $3,000 machine then, it is starting to choke on some of the newer software and apps!

1st Porcelin Ramblings From the Throne
Well, this the first post on this stab at blogging. Why do people blog anyway? Is it the desire to be heard, make a difference, or just vent their views to the netizens of the world? Who knows, but for my part, it's all of those and then some! I have nothing witty or planned for this first post as setting this up was a spontaneous and random act of "Try It, you'll like it" on my part. So, with no deliberation and without further adeiux (Sp.?)... I got nothing! Blogger's Block already! Where did all those thoughts and ideas go that were just there a minute ago when I decided I would be a blog star and reach out and touch millions of minds with my words of wisdom and wile? Oh well, I guess I'll go read the local rag and see what kind of slanted angle they published about the Prez's State of the Union speech last night. Until tomorrow...Damn! I can't spell half the crap I want to say and spell checker chokes on foreign words of witty wonder! So, plain and simple,
ciao
ciao
